Well are you ready to go? (Eddie walks in his room) Alright, yeah! (he waves his hand) Come on in. (Eddie sits on his bed) No worries.
Ooo. (Eddie strums his guitar) The guitar might be out of tune. (he gestures a little) But, it’s okay. (Eddie smiles) I want to thank everyone for coming. (Eddie looks toward the computer on his bed)
Cool, we’re going to do a concert here. We have a live show. (he gets ready to play the guitar) This is the first song. It was on our first EP The Motherland. (Eddie puts his hand in the first chord position) Most people will know it. It’s pretty simple. (he looks back at the computer) It’s called, Well Are You Ready to Go.
You know what I think I’m going to lose the pic. (Eddie throws the pic into the crowd)
(He adjusts his guitar strap on his shoulder; Eddie looks at the computer again—then back at the crowd)
(Eddie starts tapping the guitar and stomping the ground with one foot) One. (hit) Two. (hit) Three. (hit) Four. (full strum the guitar)
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?
Well Are you ready to go?

“Well Are you Ready to Go”
by The Track Meet
Yeah. Ummmmm. Yeah, that was one of the first songs that umm we kind of like wrote together as a group. (Eddie’s hands are open) It was pretty cool. Ugh. (Eddie is trying to find the right words to say) We were in the recording studio for awhile. Like for the day, you know. (Eddie looks down) And unfortunately just umm, nothing really came of it. (Eddie suddenly looks up) And that was kind of like the first track on ugh The Main Hospital but unfortunately we never really got anywhere and we unfortunately never got to The Main Hospital because ugh I went to the hospital.
But. (Eddie grabs the computer and readjusts it) We do have a few songs that umm we’ve done before. (Eddie goes back to focusing on the guitar and puts his hand in a chord formation) And we do have a song from umm The Valley. (Eddie looks back at the computer) So if you guys like that, good. (Eddie grabs his shirt and readjusts his other shoulder while also tapping the guitar with his other hand)
But yes actually. (Eddie grabs his drink from the ground; It’s like he is following the recommendation of someone in the crowd--Are they in the back, are they not on microphones, Why can’t I hear them)
Ummmm. Thank you, I am pretty thirsty. (Eddie drinks his 22 oz beer)
(Eddie takes another big swig--I won’t worry about it for now, because it seems Eddie is not worrying about it and just enjoying his beer) Alright. (Eddie puts down his beer)
This next song is called, The Boy and His Cricket (Eddie starts strumming again while looking at the computer and reading the lyrics)
(Eddie gets ready and starts rocking with the guitar)
I’m a wooden puppet,
And you control the strings
Happy or sad,
You dictate the feelings
When did I lose control,
When did I give you my soul
The answer to these questions,
Is what I’m looking for
(Eddie looks back at the crowd)
You make me feel,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
(Eddie is strumming down, down, up, up, up, down)
That’s right,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
(Eddie goes back from playing chords to finger plucking like in the first verse; while looking back at the computer to read the next set of lyrics)
I want to be a real boy,
But until I cut these strings
I will always be your toy
Maybe I need some help
So I look to my friend
Sitting on my shoulder
And he shows me the way
(Eddie goes back to strumming)
Now, You can’t bring me,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
That’s right,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
(Eddie starts playing more powerfully)
Now, You can’t bring me,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
That’s right,
Down, down, up, up, up, down
Down, down, up, up, up, down
No, no, no, no you can’t
No, no, no, no you can’t
Bring me down
“The Boy and His Cricket”
by The Track Meet
(Eddie sighs after singing the song and closes his eyes while he puts his head down)
Well. (Eddie starts strumming the guitar) (Eddie puts out a big thing of air) Thank you, yeah. (Eddie waves his hand and looks away from the crowd; It’s like there was applause but I didn’t hear anything--He was shooing them off) It’s always been a crowd favorite.
Sometimes I ugh scream, sometimes I don’t scream. Ha Ha (Eddie picks up his beer and tries to look casual while reading the room and drinking his beer while fake laughing) I wasn’t really feeling like screaming today. (Eddie takes another drink of his beer)
(Eddie takes a third drink and then tips his hat to the crowd, even though he pretty much has a shaved head and no hat) Yeah. It seems I had a pretty good day. I was able to hang out with some friends and been packing and what not. (Eddie grabs the guitar and looks into the crowd)
But other than that… (Eddie wipes his mouth with his hand) But yeah it’s been a pretty good day. (Eddie starts scrolling on his computer)
(It is the first silence of the video) So, here we go. Yeah. (Eddie grabs his guitar and puts his hand in another cord position) We’re already on uggghh to ugghhhh to that track we were mentioning from The Valley.
This is the first one I wrote. And I feel this was the one that meant the most to me. Ughhhh. (Eddie looks back at his computer) (He really moves forward to try and look at something)
(It is silent again and this time longer) Excuse me. Sorry. It’s probably the song that ugh maybe I’m most…. (Eddie shrugs his shoulder and whole body)
(It looks likes he is uncomfortable) (He is almost saying no with his mouth and body) I don’t want to say most proud of but I just feel. (Eddie starts tapping the guitar)
I don’t know I think it’s a good song. So, it’s called ugh, When Will I Ever Be Okay?
(Eddie starts strumming the guitar lightly)
Everyday I walk through the valley
And the shadow of death follows me
I’m so afraid and need you here
I pray your rod and staff comfort me
Your enemies surround my table
Now my cup is almost empty
I hope this isn’t true for all my days
And dwell in your house finally
(Eddie looks away from the computer after reading the lyrics and now gazes into the crowd)
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
Oh God, when will I?
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
Oh God, when will I?
(Eddie plays a breakdown)
(Eddie hits his falsetto)
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
(Eddie closes his eyes and looks up to the ceiling)
When will I ever be okay?
When will I ever be okay?
“When Will I Ever Be Okay”
by The Track Meet
(Eddie hits the guitar) Well, ummm. (Eddie rests his arms on the guitar) As you can see. (Eddie looks down possibly at the beer) Those high notes are pretty hard to hit. (Eddie grabs his beer) I haven’t been able to hit em but.
(Eddie starts drinking beer) Thanks to auto tune (Eddie puts down beer) Luckily, I’ve been able to ugh you know hit those high notes. (Eddie taps on guitar again)
So. (Eddie looks back to his computer) If you’ve heard any of the new music we’ve been coming out with. (Eddie starts strumming) A lot of covers.
(Eddie looks past the crowd almost lost) Just a lot indie psychedelic rock, unfortunately the band’s not here right now. (Eddie rests his arms back on the guitar)
You know, sooo it’s just kind of me. But ugh want to let you guys in; kind of see my life. (Eddie points to crowd maybe to a particular person)
Kind of a day in the life. (Eddie looks down. He looks sad.) Ummm. (Eddie looks lost again) We got a lot of things coming your way. We got The Eddie Martin Show coming up. Ugh got a podcast coming out. Hopefully it should be available tomorrow.
(Eddie looks to I think a person; Eddie just keeps checking in with the camera guy and the crowd--Reading them)(He’s nervous though) But if not, it will be available soon. (Eddie picks up his leg and guitar) (It’s almost he is stretching)
And. (Eddie taps the guitar again) It’s just you know. Been doing a lot of things and just ugghhhh unfortunately I feel I haven’t been able to do music a lot recently and I just wanted to uggh just do something. (Eddie picks up his leg again and rocks the whole guitar; He also starts using the computer and scrolling--It seems he scrolls to every new song)
And ugh when ugh you know kind of. (Eddie is looking back at the crowd but now up to the corner ceiling) The kin, the family. You know the research foundation. (Eddie starts patting the guitar with both hands) In no way am I, is it my baby, it’s my family’s.
(Eddie points to the crowd and then shrugs and smiles, I think one or some are there) And they are just kind of honoring me, and allowed me to kind of do this performance so its ugh really cool.
(Eddie looks sad and then down, then up and happy) I just wanna say thanks to everyone at home watching, so appreciate it. (I see it seems this is a home video or like a facetime recording or maybe facebook live?) (Eddie goes back to the computer and keeps scrolling)
This ugh next song is called I’m Alone. (Eddie gets serious and in guitar playing mode; He takes a deep breath, stops and wait. He starts strumming but it doesn’t switch to camera 2 like other songs
(It almost seems like Eddie is jamming; Maybe he is trying to find the chords)
(Possibly this is an instrumental song)
Every morning I wake up
The first word I think is Fuck
Because I am alone
Yeah I am alone
(Eddie stops playing) You know what I’ve done it a couple different ways. (Eddie taps the guitar and looks at the computer)
(He looks back at the crowd quick) To be honest it’s better when you’re angry. Ugh… So.
Here let me try something.
(Eddie gets ready to play again)
(Eddie starts strumming a lot faster) So yeah have the C here. (Starts strumming different cord) D here. (Stops strumming)
Sorry guys, I wrote this song back a few years trying to figure it out. Ugh. Ha Ha, to be honest it’s one of the sadder songs.
(Eddie rests his arms on his guitar again) It really kind of was at a time in my life where I was just felt alone. (Eddie looks at the computer then back to the guitar) But. (Eddie starts playing even faster)
Every morning I wake up
The first word I think is Fuck
Because I am alone
Yeah I am alone
When I finally roll out of bed
And grab a cigarette
Cause I’m alone
Yeah I’m alone
There’s nothing good on TV
And I just want to sleep
Because I’m alone
Yeah I’m alone
So I write another song
To show I don’t belong
Because I’m alone
Cause I’m alone
“I’m Alone”
by The Track Meet
Well as you can see I don’t even know how to play some of my own songs but umm I think we did that one when we were really trying to go electric so I’m sorry. (Eddie smiles big and fake, and then back to looking to the compute to bail him out)
Apologizes to ugh you guys. Let me see here what we got. Umm to be honest this is actually a new song. (Eddie grabs beer) Never performed it before. Eddie drinks beer; Eddie puts beer back down)
I guess if anything it shows what umm. What. (Eddie taps the guitar and looks the side aimlessly) What I was talking about, but I guess you know I’m not alone. There’s ugh a lot of us in this world so…
(Eddie looks back at computer and really deeply again--Eddie plays big sweeping open chords)
I need you
I need you
(Eddie starts to close his eyes while he sings and plays)
I need you
I need you
(Eddie opens his eyes and looks to the other side of the room to no one)
I need you in the morning
I need you in the evening
I need you in my life
I need you in my death
(Eddie starts to close his eyes again)
I need you
I need you
I need you
I need you
“I Need You”
by The Track Meet
(You can really start to hear outside Eddie’s window) (There are a lot of cars driving by) It’s just a sweet reminder that we need you so. (Eddie smiles and leans back while looking towards the computer)
(Eddie starts scrolling) Well umm. (Eddie rubs his nose) I was going to play 7. (Eddie starts tapping the guitar) To be honest I’m probably going to play 6.
(Eddie makes a grunting face, like he is disappointing people) We end a lot of shows with this song and ugh it’s kind of been something we’ve done.
(Eddie makes a lot of movements and facial gestures; He looks uncomfortable again) So. (Eddie looking to the computer) We might as well do it again.
(Eddie starts to play Play Crack the Sky by Brand New)
Wait, what…(Eddie stops playing and seems to be talking to someone in the crowd)
(Eddie rests his arms on his guitar and hangs his head low) I guess I didn’t really ugh… yeah (Eddie tries to look at the person and then just looks down)
I’m sorry. I didn’t ugh really think about that. Ummm. (Eddie keeps shaking his head no)
Yeah, Well ummm. (Eddie looks to the computer for help or something to save him) I guess it’s 5 songs then. (Eddie makes a gesture with his hands similar to an emoji not knowing what to do)
(Eddie rests his hands on the guitar) Umm, yeah. I don’t want to play that song. How about this?
(Eddie starts playing the same chords of Play Crack the Sky)
This is the end
Well, there you go. (Eddie stops playing and rests his hands over the strings) That was actually pretty bad. Umm, I hope you enjoyed the movie beforehand. And I hope you enjoyed the concert. (Eddie is still looking down even with his head up now)
(Eddie looks to the computer for anything) Umm, I hope you enjoy all the things that we got coming.
But uh (Eddie puts down the guitar and sets it down next to him; Eddie clears throat) We’ll have a question and answering time back in the living room so ugh thanks everyone for watching and that’s the concert. (The room is empty)
(Eddie grabs his phone and flips the camera to selfie mode; You see Eddie’s face up close and personal now--Eddie is surprised and angry)
What! That’s it! Dude. (Shaking his head no) I thought I had so many more people that were like going to watch. (Eddie looks down) Dude, only 10 viewers.
(Eddie is silent and starts walking around the room) It makes me wonder. (Silent again, looks up sad and tries to hide face)
(Eddie exhales strongly; He is now looking down and out of sight--His eyes are sad) Why did I even do this? (Looks away from camera for a couple seconds--looks back) People like try really hard and they give so much. And. (Eddie gets quiet) It doesn’t matter.
(Eddie shakes his head no again. Eddie looks up and tries not to cry; Eddie doesn’t saying anything--Then he Smiles) You guys know me. I was faking it. (He smiles again) There was nobody there.
(He starts chuckling to himself) I’m alone in my room. No one came. I invited people. (Now he looks very angry and sad--His eyes say it all; He keeps shaking his head gently no)
It really hurts. People want to know why certain people are depressed or upset. And it’s because like we actually don’t really care about each other. And we say we’re going to be there for one another and then we’re not.
(Eddie is looking the camera dead in the eye now) And I understand there is life and things happen (Eddie starts to rub his head now) But. I’m just tired of trying. I’m tired of it all. (Shakes his head no) So over it.
I’m pretty drunk right now, I guess I am pretty high right now too. Don’t tell anybody, It’s so bright. I need to go to sleep.
